of Dell Laptop Battery First post by: www.laptops-battery-online.com
Over the last 18 months, Dell has completely revamped its consumer laptop line, adding new designs, color choices, and models (like the new Studio series). Now the PC giant has turned its eye towards its Latitude lineup of business notebooks, which runs the gamut from ultraportables to semi-rugged machines. First up are the Latitude E5400 and E5500, both of which are available in configurations starting under $1,000. The $839 Latitude E5400 sports a 14.1-inch screen, whereas the $869 E5500 comes with a 15.4-inch display. Intel Centrino 2-based Core 2 Duo processor options include the 2GHz T7250, 2.26GHz P8400, 2.4GHz P8600, 2.53GHz T9400, and 2.53GHz P9500. Standard memory on the base config is just 1GB, with 2GB and 4GB options, and a 80GB 5,400rpm hard drive comes with the base model. Hard drive options include 160GB or 250GB 5,400rpm drives, 7,200rpm drives with "free-fall sensor" protection, or a 120GB encrypted drive. A CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive is included on the cheapest config—a DVD burner is an option, but not Blu-ray—as is 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. (You'll need to pay extra to spring for Draft N support.)
Coming next is the mainstream E6000 line, which consists of the $1,139 Latitude E6400, the $1,169 Latitude E6500, and the $2,399 semi-rugged Latitude E6400 ATG (pictured). The E6400 models ship with a 14.1-inch display, and the E6500 offers a 15.4-inch display. It is also offering color choices for the first time on Latitudes with the E6400/E6500—in addition to the standard brushed-metal black, options include blue and red. Base configs are very similar to the E5400/E5500, though with a faster CPU and a three-year warranty instead of a single year of coverage. Options include a 64GB solid-state drive (SSD), LED-backlit display, fingerprint reader, Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M discrete graphics, and a nine-cell battery like Dell Latitude C840 Battery, Dell Latitude CPi Battery, Dell Latitude CPX Battery, Dell Latitude CPXH Battery, Dell Latitude D400 Battery, Dell Latitude D410 Battery, Dell Latitude D420 Battery, Dell Latitude D430 Battery, Dell Latitude D500 Battery, Dell Latitude D505 Battery, Dell Latitude D510 Battery, Dell Latitude D520 Battery that Dell promises will provide "all-day" batter life. Due in the next week, the E6400 ATG meets military standards for vibration, dust, humidity, and altitude, according to Dell.
Available in the next several weeks are the thinner and lighter Latitude E4200 (pictured) and Latitude E4300, which will also be available in blue and red case colors. At 2.2 pounds, the 12.1-inch E4200 is the lightest business laptop Dell has ever offered. It also comes in an optional pink case cover. A LED-backlit display and 64GB SSD come standard, and the E4200 makes use of Intel's Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) processors. The 3.3-pound E4300 comes with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit screen like the E4200, but uses standard-voltage Core 2 Duo processors and offers the SSD as an option rather than as the default storage choice. Unlike the E4200, the E4300 does come with an optical drive.
